10 steps to convert your bw image to colored image in Photoshop

1) Take a black and white photo and open it in Photoshop

File- open

2) Give Marquee selection to the area which we want to edit . For this we can use different editing tools like Magnetic lasso tool, Polygonal lasso tools, Pen tool etc.

3) Now Go to Image- Adjustments- Variations. Change Mid tones, shadows, highlights, saturation etc . to get desired result.

4) Now In case of face .

 first select whole face - select- save selection- give name- ok

5) repeat this process for all face parts lips, eyebrows, eyeballs, eyes, teeth etc. basically for all those objects which will of different colours.

6)now go to

select- load selection- select face.

face will get selected.

7)then again go to select- load selection-choose lips -subtract from selection

8)repeat this process for all face parts which we have saved before. change color of face by using Variation option as mentioned in step 3.

9) Use Dodge tool to just brighten the pixels . Here I have used it for earrings ,bindi and nose ring.

10)sometimes I used Burn tool to give rusty look to the ornaments.(I will explain theses tools in seperate tutorial.)
